Job Overview:  The Hours of Service Specialist enters client-provided data into the MPCS database systems and programs. The position uses Foxit and InfranView software to analyze driver-log documents for consistency and then prepares the documents for company auditors. 

A Day in the Life:
  • You will represent the company, its employees and the work environment with a positive attitude and demeanor. 
  • You will stay current on all MPCS company policies, procedures and practices.
  • You will stay current on all Federal and State regulations, pertaining to department.
  • You will download files from the FileZilla file-sharing program.
  • You will convert downloaded files to PDF logs using Adobe Acrobat and InfranView software.
  • You will review PDF logs to verify accuracy.
  • You will return inaccurate PDF logs to clients for correction and to ensure compliance, when necessary. 
  • You will audit the verified PDF logs for errors, inaccuracies and falsifications.
  • You will identify violations and falsifications, document inaccuracies, and retain documents on a shared drive. 
  • You will back up completed logs (i.e., images and information) to the MPCS backup database (aka data-dump). 
  • You will assist with responding to client correspondents.
  • You will answer phone calls.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Has a High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Has 6 months to 1 years of related experience.
  • Has superior attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Has the ability to think in a clear, logical and organized manner and work under minimal supervision. 
  • Has strong computer skills in the areas of data entry and data management. 
  • Has a solid working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Writer, Microsoft Office and FileMaker. 
  • Has the ability to use the Internet as a research tool, when required. 
  • Has good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Has the ability to concentrate and work efficiently and consistently.
