Job Overview:  The Director of Operations- Drug Testing plans, directs, and coordinates the office operations of the department to facilitate the maximization of resources for the achievement of customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.
 
A Day in the Life:
  • You will perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned. 
  • You will maintain qualified staff and communicate areas of accountability.
  • You will determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel.
  • You will recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.
  • You will ensure proper training, fostering a cooperative working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity.
  • You will manage and maintain department within determined budgetary guidelines.
  • You will monitor the effectiveness of the various operation strategies aimed at the reduction of operating costs, increasing output and improving service.
  • You will attend regular operations and leadership meetings as well as keep employees informed on those matters affecting the successful performance of their jobs.
  • You will maintain communication and working relationships with other departments to resolve issues and expedite service.
  • You will enact contingency plans as needed and escalate/direct activities during system problems.
  • You will identify potential problems, troubleshoot, and escalates issues to senior management.
  • You will participate in post analysis of problems which will provide input for future process improvements.
 
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Has a BA/BS degree with a minimum four years of experience as an Operations Manager for a company with a minimum of $5,000,000 in annual sales.
  • Has intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Has experience working in the drug testing industry.
