Job Overview:  The Data Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure compliance with operational processes and define, design and deliver technology requirements, enhancements, and solutions that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.
 
A Day in the Life:

  • You will confer with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases.  
  • You will review current data structures and recommend optimizations and reconfiguration as warranted.
  • You will generate data acquisition and archive recovery strategies.
  • You will work with Database Administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into test and production environments.
  • You will integrate new data with existing warehouse structure and continuously improve system functionality.
  • You will evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies.
  • You will consult with vendors to integrate selected packages.
  • You will delete old data.
  • You will develop and maintain all standards in accordance with data structures and models.
  • You may work with organizational departments to design and develop data marts.
  • You will coordinate and oversees architecture implementation and modification activities.
  • You will confer with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases.
  • You will develop a road map of the conceptual design for future changes to the architecture of IT solutions.
  • You will maintain records to document architecture and technology portfolio as well as revisions to these.
  • You will research, evaluate and implement new technology and industry trends to optimize operational efficiency, infrastructure flexibility, and operational stability.
  • You may provide application programming interfaces (APIs) to business applications.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, technical marketing, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Has more than 5 years of related experience.
  • Has the proven ability to work with teams that design, build and deliver technology products that drive business growth.
